"A Clear View"

Inspired by a scene near Pierport, Michigan. The clarity of light in this meadow was intense, as was the view in the distance. At first glance, I thought I was seeing a blue roof on a Michigan barn. Then, as I painted I realized, of course, the blue belonged to Lake Michigan. In my painting, I aim to paint shapes rather than things. Roof or lake, you've got to admit, the blue is stunning!
